First things first... congratulations are in order! Congratulations to my buddy Rev Naval for an awesome multi-media exhibit at the CSB School of Design. The exhibit is entitled Change for Change, using the 500 peso bill that he created when President Cory passed away to make commentary on corporeal realities and in a way, subvert towards the premise of change. The bill is integrated into everyday scenarios of everyday people, spewing outwards beyond the canvas into the strategic areas within the exhibit. It is also succinctly juxtaposed with newspaper headlines that are obvious ironies into what are being depicted in the black and white photos. His canvass is essentially the human spirit and the final change is in fact, when the bill that he proposes becomes part and parcel of the Philippine Monetary System.
In the exhibit Change for Change, the medium is the message. And there's nothing more powerful on earth than the human soul on fire...
